Cotton bouclé whilst timeless, has been at the forefront of design with a new collection already this year . The twisted wool fibres are incredibly durable & it works so well on upholstery.
It's a fantastic fabric to freshen and contemporarize sofas or chairs (take a look in our gallery at the pair of 1930's chairs we reupholstered to bring them right on trend).
Ahead of Chelsea Design Week 23 fabric companies ,that weren't already, jumped on board . The trend gained momentum with Zinc Textiles new Tres Bouclé and Kirkby's Teddy FR Boucle collections along with others from Andrew Martin through to Zimmer & Rohde.
Here at Cocobolo, we have several brands offering Bouclés in a range of colours to fit your palette. Casamance Nepal collection gives a good range of 24 natural colours in their beautifully soft version to pick from. The aforementioned Teddy from Kirkby offer 33 colours. Warwick fabrics also have a hard wearing selection in a good range of natural tones.
Texture is at the forefront in 2024.
Whether your interior fits with the natural 'Instagram-worthy' Scandinavian style that you would typically see partnered with a creamy bouclé, or you're more into maximalist design with layering patterns and bold colours, we've come to the conclusion Bouclé does it all!
A final mention for the Soupcons collection from Casamance, almost a Boucle in texture but these fabrics are suitable for Indoor & Outdoor use too .
Check out the great texture on Misia's Estival range of performance in/outdoor fabrics. We made a slew of outdoor shaped cushions for a client this Summer to wows from their guests !
